The problem
With old-fashioned bag and strap arrangements you rebuild the connection to the car from scratch. Loose, tangled straps, in a hurry, sometimes in the dark for the dawn patrol.
Fit faster
Put it on in about 90 seconds, not 4-5mins. The straps are built into the bag and stay where you set them, and don't tangle.
Then just surf
Open the tail, slide your board out, go. About 10 seconds out and 20 back in. The bag stays on the car while you surf.
Three places you can lock
A lock through the zip sliders keeps the bag closed so your board stays in. A lock through the loop on each side flap holds the bag to your roof bars.
One bag, range of boards
Two feet of adjustment across the marked size range. One board per Remora, one at a time.
Nothing crushing your board
A strap puts its whole load along two thin strap edges — ready to crush your rails. Remora's straps hold the bag instead, so your board travels suspended in luxe soft padding rather than crushed against the metal of your racks.
It handles the drive
600D armoured polyester built for the elements. 3 mm XPE foam through the body, 8 mm at the nose, and 23 mm of engineered progressive foam where your board meets the bars — the place boards actually get damaged.
Before you buy
Check your bars can be adjusted to 80 cm apart and your board fits the size range. Two minutes with a tape measure (and finding the key to the racks if you need to slide them forward or back).
